I got a letter today from an author by the name of Rachel Hamman letting me know a short piece I submitted is going to be published in a book next year. The submission theme was “Why do you deserve a moms night out?”, and I edited a blog post from when the kids all had the flu and sent it in. Unfortunately there is no pay for it, but I’ll get a free copy of the book, and the excitement of saying “Hey, I’m published!”
Amazon has a pre-order page set up here, the book will be out next spring.

Ooooh! Fancy! I’ve been published too….of course….it was a poem I wrote in 2nd grade….and the book was full of poems written by students from the school board I was in….but still!
